What are Navy jobs called?
Navy enlisted jobs are usually called ratings. The rating code is the short label, such as HM for Hospital Corpsman, IT for Information Systems Technician, or CWT for Cyber Warfare Technician.
What ASVAB score do I need for Navy jobs?
Start with AFQT for basic enlistment eligibility, then look at the rating-specific ASVAB score formula. Navy ratings often use formulas such as VE+AR, AR+MK+EI+GS, or VE+AR+MK+MC.
What does VE mean on Navy ASVAB requirements?
VE means Verbal Expression. It is not a separate ASVAB section; it comes from Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension scoring on the official report.
Do Navy ratings use the same line scores as the Army?
